logo_stoi_agri.gif STOI-AGRI is a branch of the group STOI" Society Trading of the ocean Indian." 
Its main activity is the agri-business. Using about thirty people composed by engineers, agronomists and agricultural technicians. 
It began to exercise its activity since 1998. 
In its beginnings, its main activity concentrated in the production and the distribution of fertilizing biologic "Taroka." it also made the collection of paddy, the shelling and the distribution of white rice on the local market.  
Later, the STOI AGRI spread its activities in particular in the biologic culture and the extraction of the essential oils particularly the Geranium and the Helichrysium in the region of Antananarivo. 
Since 1999, it developed plantations of vanilla, of litchis, of clove, of potato, of the pineapple victoria, of pepper in the regions of Tamatave and Antsirabe with the support of the organisms specialized.

 

It provided to the STOI of the cool products destined to the export. In order to satisfy to best asks and increase its products therefore, the STOI AGRI is brought to work also in partnership with serious and experienced peasants. Besides, a coming down on the land makes itself regularly to push technically and to frame these in the respect of the cultures and local traditions, for a quoted to improve their production qualitatively that quantitatively, of another side, to follow the evolution of their production. 
In fact, STOI develops contacts and gets enough orders by the islands neighbouring of the Indian Ocean (Maurice, Comoros), France, Italy, England and the Netherlands.  To increase the market, it also works closely with American projects. 
STOI AGRI respects the Equitable Trade. In this setting, the STOI AGRI integrates the planters, the collectors, the conditioners, the stockers in its path of export. It collaborates with associations farmers for the improvement of the quality of the products while making of the seminaries of formation and concertisation (Koloharena,…). 
It cooperates with the organisms of development insiders by the financial backers:  
 
- PAEA (Project of support to the Agricultural Export of Tamatave), project financed by the United States and that provides the improved plantations: litchis, clove and of other products of export while assuring the traçabilité. 
- member and subscriber of the CTHT (Horticultural Technical Center of Tamatave), financed by the United States and the Cooperation French, assure the quality of the products by the technical framing of the planters 
To the export it works with BAMEX (Business And Market Expansion), project insider and financed by the USAID of the United States and having received the financing of the Cooperation agency French and work for the promotion of the products exotic of Madagascar 

It is in very good term with the banks of 1st order and begins to make itself know progressively. 
Anxious of the conformity to the rules defined to the international level and the conformity to environmental and social criteria’s (way of production, transformation and distribution), the STOI-AGRI is the first in Madagascar to certify their products (fertilizing, litchis) as biologic products by the INTERNATIONAL ECOCERT. 
Finally, the STOI-AGRI assures a contractual price permitting a just remuneration for the producers, the respect of the person's elementary and fundamental rights.
