Technical definition:

Etymological sense:
• TA is a prefix announcing the first two letters of TANY (soil)
• ROKA means fertile in English or lonaka in Malagasy.

- the simple Taroka: for the cultures to production of leaves: tobacco, geranium, tea tree, beets…
- the Taroka phosphated: for the cultures to production of grains or fruits: rice, litchis, coconut culture,…
