THE HARVEST

- Ensure the maturity of litchi prior to harvest
- The materials needed for the harvest are new and clean

THE SCREENING





- Respect for hygiene is primary during triage
- The fruit is placed under shelter in the shade, in a clean and well ventilated to protect from the sun during the sorting

PACKAGING
- The lychee postharvest suffer no storage
- The fruits are immediately placed in baskets and taken in the preparation of local development board
- The lychees are packaged in boxes of 2 or 5 kg, depending upon client
- The boxes are then placed on wooden pallet is acceptable and loaded into a refrigerated truck

TRANSPORT
- The lychees are directly transported by refrigerated container to the international airport of Ivato
- Pending shipment, the fruits fall into the cold room of the airline
- And shipped the same day to the final destination. In the plane, the temperature will always be respected to maintain the cold chain.


LYCHEES SULFUR



COLLECTION AND SORTING

The same procedures are adopted for harvesting lychees fumigated with sulfur dioxide. The fruits are carefully picked less than 48 hours before packaging, with a degree of ripeness.

FILLING AND WEIGHING OF CUPS
The fruits are then placed uniformly in boxes.

TREATMENT
- The boxes are of lychees after placed on pallets and enclosed in a container treatment sufficiently tight to prevent leakage of gas (SO2), equipped with a ventilation system to mix the gas inside the boxes.
- The treatment is at most 10 to 12 h after harvest
- The dose and duration of sulfur treatment varies depending on the type of transportation (by air or by conventional boat and ship container)
- At the end of the sulfur treatment, a specific provision is made by our officers not to breathe the gas inside the container: wearing masks, half-opened doors of the container and get there 15 minutes after that, ventilate the container up ...

PACKAGING



On the plane, the temperature is always maintained and the cold chain is continuous.
