TRANSPORT - The lychees are directly transported by refrigerated container to the international airport of Ivato
- Pending shipment, the fruits fall into the cold room of the airline
- And shipped the same day to the final destination. In the plane, the temperature will always be respected to maintain the cold chain.
LYCHEES SULFUR
COLLECTION AND SORTINGThe same procedures are adopted for harvesting lychees fumigated with sulfur dioxide. The fruits are carefully picked less than 48 hours before packaging, with a degree of ripeness.
FILLING AND WEIGHING OF CUPSThe fruits are then placed uniformly in boxes.
TREATMENT- The boxes are of lychees after placed on pallets and enclosed in a container treatment sufficiently tight to prevent leakage of gas (SO2), equipped with a ventilation system to mix the gas inside the boxes.
- The treatment is at most 10 to 12 h after harvest
- The dose and duration of sulfur treatment varies depending on the type of transportation (by air or by conventional boat and ship container)
